Sri1980 Posted August 17, 2011 Report Share Posted August 17, 2011 I have been seeing my status as "Acceptance" since it is received by USCIS. The last updated date on the status is 08/04 and the receipt date is 08/03. Is it possible that the website is not showing correct status? How can I know my status other than through the USCIS site? I hope to get approval sometime next week because I have to join them within 3 weeks (including 2 weeks notice to my current employer). Link to comment
Seattle_Indian Posted August 19, 2011 Report Share Posted August 19, 2011 Hello readit4: The lawyers took about 2 weeks to get the LCA ready even before filing the H1B application. It is my understanding that the H1 extension itself is based on I-140 approval, but the new employer still needs to contact DOL for prevailing wages and get LCA approved before filing. Good luck!
