I checked forums for the biometric center mentioned in my FP appointment letter and found out that it is not a busy center and lot of people just walk in without setting up the early appointment. So, I just walked in. I would recommend checking forums to see if your center is busy and if so, schedule an early appointment with a good reason to explain why you want to get it done earlier.

There are a lot of approvals for the december filings according to 485 tracker on trackit. It looks like NSC is processing 485's of last quarter 2007 and some from Jan and Feb 2008.

All the best for everyone waiting on the 485 approvals.

There are number of approvals for december filings on ********. and some for January( surprisingly) .

EAD&AP approval emails received on Feb 01, 2012.

Waiting to receive EAD&AP combo card in mail.

Any one who filed I-485 in December got their GC? Please update. Thanks!

Today 02/18/2012, received I-485 Card Production Ordered email. Great News.

But received an RFE for my wife's AOS today. As she was pregnant we did not complete all the vaccinations for her when we had our medicals. I guess this RFE is for medicals.

Guys I got 485 approval emails this evening (02/26/2012) at 6.30pm EST. Received approval emails for myself and my wife. Surprised to see the message coming on a Sunday. However email says that Card production was ordered on 02/25/2012. Very happy.

My details:

TSC

PD: 01/22/2008

USCIS Received DT: 12/09/2011

Receipt DT: 12/12/2011

Finger Print DT: 01/19/2012 (No Early Walkin)

ASC Center: Atlanta, GA

EAD appproval DT: 02/09/2012

EAD received: 02/13/2012

485 approved: 02/25/2012

I thought that I might receive RFE because our births were registered in 2008. I did not have affidavits included. Thankfully they did not ask for affidavits.

EAD/ AP - approval emails / SMS's received on Jan 27, 2012

Card Prod ordered - Jan 31, 2012

EAD / AP combo card for both me & wife received on Feb 2, 2012 by USCIS priority mails.

However, in the last few days after Jan 27 I got multiple SMS/ emails from USCIS about the status update and everytime it was going back and forth. So I called USCIS service agent and even she was not aware of whats going on.......kind on confusing

At the end I am HAPPY......

Alright guys.....here is the big good news for me.......I finally got GC approval notice emails & SMS on Feb 26. As of now the online status shows the approval notice has been mailed.

Therefore I beleive the next update would be the card production and USPS dispatch.

Finally after years of wait & frustration on H1b, I am GREENED

Absoloutely NO RFE's at any stage. I think its because of our companys attorneys capability and exp that kept my case totally out of any such situation. Thanks to them.

And I wish everyone on this forum a very happy and troublefree Green Card journey and Good Luck.

On Sunday, I noticed the online tracker changed to "Decision" saying "this customer's permanent resident status has been registered."

I havent received the notice in mail yet. Now waiting to see "card production ordered" and to actually receive the card !!

Status finally says: Card/Document Production

Thank you everyone for their comments and support. I have been following the Murty forum for a few years on and off (whenever I have to file something (H1B etx. stamping etc...) and all the comments here are very very helpfull.
