I was wondering if any one has done it recently and if so please let me know the steps .. Also what kind of advantages will we get with having same Last name ? Will it help ? shandan Posted February 19, 2014 Report Share Posted February 19, 2014 As far as immigration goes having the married last name vs maiden last name, it bears no significance and nothing changes/impacted. How to do the change will depend on what all you would need changed I would start with the passport, followed by, SSN, DL, updates to the pending immigration applications etc, as applicable.
