AOS on EB2 and new EB3

Hi all,

My current immigration status is AOS pending and I am a derivative of my wife's EB2 India application. I was on H1B long time back and since we received our EADs and APs in 2007 Dec,I am working for my employer using my EAD. Very recently my company decided to start GC process for me under EB3 and my labor got approved couple of weeks back. They even drafted my I-140 petetion and would be mailing the application sometime next week.

I know y'all might be thinking why on the earth my company is wasting time and money, but its all my senior mgmts decision.

Would this EB3 anyway affect my pending I-485 EB2 application?
