Want to use the extended I797 for visa stamping

Hi,

I am planning  to go to India in June. I have my old I797 approved till Nov 2023. However my employer is planning to file extension in premium processing in May 2023. There are couple of questions

1) If my extension gets approved can I used the new extended I797 for my visa stamping. 

2) If the answer to above is No, should I apply for extension after returning from India.
