Didn't receive H1B Approval notice(I-797 A)

Hello Team,

My H1-b extension got approved on 23rd, Jan 2023, but till date I have not received the I-797 A(Approval Notice), My wife has received the approval notice(H4). My employer has submitted an e-request for duplicate on Feb'24 but yet to get any update from USCIS .

Is there any option for me to request duplicate copy of approval notice directly with USCIS ? 

Is there any legal issue in continue to stay in US without the approval notice after my current visa/i-94 expiry ?

If this extension was done in premium processing, most likely your employer/attorney would have received an email from USCIS informing about your approval and new I-94 date.  This should be good for some time.

Did the employer get his copy?

Is he on the level?

does he not have a lawyer?

Thanks for the replies, employer has contacted the USCIS and they have shared the softcopy of approval notice via email.
