I-94 Validity Date

Extended H1B due to short I-94 validity at port of entry due to passport expiry. 

 

I have stamped visa till March 2022.

New I-797 validity till June 2023

 

If i reenter country, will i get new I94 based on Visa or new I-797?

The visa lets you enter. The H1 petition determines the stay.

Does your passport have enough validity (before expiry) to accommodate I-94 date based on New I-797 validity till June 2023, if you re-enter the country?

yes, Just renewed passport. valid till 2030.

Thanks. So at Port of entry i will get new I-94 till June 2023 while entering with renewed passport.

I have a similar situation. I94 was given for short time due to passport expiry. I-797 and Visa is valid till Oct-2021. Also, Received new passport valid till 2030.

What options do i have, to get an extended I94. Please advise.
