Piyush Ranjan
I am planning a travel for India during Feb 2020 for 3 week, returning early Mar 2020. I have moved to a New Employer I797 H1B. I have a Visa stamped from my previous Employer which is valid till July 2020. Do I need to get Visa stamped for new Employer or Can I still travel with my Previous EMployer's Stamped Visa and New I797. Please Suggest. Thanks, Quote Link to comment
xTDx
No need for a new visa. You can travel with current valid visa from the old employer and have your i797 ready in case CBP wants to take a peek. Quote Link to comment

gopalakrishnach
No need to get visa stamped for new employer. Just carry your passport that has valid visa stamped and new employer approved H1B notice.. Quote Link to comment
JoeF
You can travel with the old valid visa and a copy of the new approval notice. Quote Link to comment
Harry513
As long as you have a valid Visa stamp on passport, it shouldn’t be a problem. I went through the same scenario and I entered back in USA without any issues. But make sure to provide new I-797 so the I-94 validity will be updated to the new I-797 date instead of visa validity (or old I-797) . This is not a legal advice but sharing my experience so it will be useful for fellow members. I'm happy to share any further details if needed. Thanks! Quote Link to comment
Maharajan
Hi Harry513, Hi, I entered to US with Valid Visa stamping and I-94 validity till 29th May 2020. Then I moved to another location with same employer, same client, amendment got approved with I-94 6th June 2020. (Aprrox. 10 days difference). Now Jan 2020 I have vacation plan to India, Do I need to go for stamping just for 10 days difference in I-94 ? If come back with out new stamping, shall I show new I79A copy to get new I-94 date in my passport ? Quote Link to comment
