Calgary Oct 10th F1 to H1

Hello all,

 

I had my F1 to H1 interview in Calgary on Oct 10th. I got it approved. Below is my experience:

 

VO: How long you are working with this employer *********?
Me: Said 8 years 
VO: Then he asked I see another company in DS-160?
Me: I explained my previous employer merged with current company so technically I am working same employer for last 8 years.
VO: What is your role?
Me: I am Database Administrator.
VO: your take care of Oracle databases?
Me: along with Oracle, I also take care of SQLServer and My SQl databases too.
VO: Is your wife working too?
Me:****************
VO: Is she on H1b too?
Me: ************
VO:Your visa is approved.

 

Oct 11th I received email from Canada post that my passport is picked from consulate and forwarded a link to check status.

Oct 12th and Oct 13th: Saturday and Sunday: No update from Canada Post.

Oct 14th : Holiday in Canada..so no update from Canada post.

Oct 15th : At 11am received email from Canada post that my passport is ready for pick up.

 

Picked up the passport at 11:15 am and flew back to USA same day.

Immigration check is in Calgary airport only, they asked me which city I am heading to and my residence address.

 

I was really tensed before interview, but every thing went very smooth. Thanks a lot to this forum which helped me to prepare well.

can you tell how many people you saw attending and what are results

I have seen 4 H1b's attended in my time slot and I believe all 4 got approved. I also met a lady, her change of status is denied by USCIS and she got consular H1b, Even H1b stamping is also approved in Calgary.
