james1010
Received 221G on September 24,2019, Matamoros, MX. Questions asked: 1. Employer name , how long with current client , how many years on h1b,i140...and updated me saying that have to do some additional checks...... 2. Planning to wait for couple of weeks, do we have any other choice rather than waiting indefinitely ? 3. Like automatic visa re validation or visa waiver... 4. Is there anything that we can do to expedite the process...any guidance would be a great help...thank you Quote Link to comment

If you still have a valid visa you can request for passport and come back to US and go back when your 221G is cleared. 3. You cannot use AVR since you went for visa stamping. 4. Nothing. Just following up with consulate. But don't worry. Matamoros is usually very quick compared to other embassies when it comes to clearing 221 G's. Quote Link to comment
