mackd Posted December 29, 2016 Report Posted December 29, 2016 Hello, I am posting this topic for people who are confused what to do If the DS 160 number we used book our appointment is not same as the one we submitted to the consulate. I have started DS 160 using google crome and saved it. I have used that number to book my Visa Slot. After 1 week when I tried to retrieve I was not able to do so. I have started a new DS 160 and submitted it to the Matamaros Consulate I tried calling the third party guys who handle this updating DS 160 numbers and they said only way is I should cancel and rebook my appointment. By doing so I am loosing my date and had to change all my travel plans. So as a final thing I have called the number in Travel.state.gov and they said you can print the new DS 160 confirmation and take it to the ASC and they would update it. I took the new confirmation page and they got it updated. I was got confused a lot to go for stamping or not since one experienced this situation at Mexican consulates. So that this would help people who get in to this situation. Thank You
