Anyone Applied Canada Visitor Visa around March 11th and got their passport back?

Hi,

I applied for Canadian Visitor Visa and they received my application on 11th March. I got to know that they cashed my MO on 18th March but I have not got my passport back yet. Is there anyone else in a similar situation as mine?

Really worried as I have my H1B visa interview on 23rd April.

Bids23 - They received my application on March 13th. I haven't heard back too. I applied through an agent at the Canadian consulate at LA. I heard the delay is due to the consulate being audited. Did you apply to Los Angeles? Online or mailed?

There was another post in which a person said he applied on March 8th and got his passport back on March 27th. The time difference between yours & his application date is just 1 day. I guess then the audit news is true, or else, why would it take more than 12 days(counting from Mar 27th) to process yours!

I have applied thru mail to NY consulate and my application reached by march 15th. they did not deposit my money order yet. I also have visa interview on may 7th..

My Application was delivered on march 11th to LA Canada Consulate. So far they have not cashed my Check. Not sure still how many days it will take.I have interview on May 6th .

I have applied on same day i.e mar 11 for Canada visa in Los angels as inperson...i got my passport back in 2 weeks...

I have submitted all Originals Expect I-797. I have submitted the photo Copy of I-797. I-94 Originals.

I mailed my passport, I94 and other required documents to NY consulate on 8th March and they received on 11th March. I sent them an email as they said that they respond to emails only after regular processing time is passed. No response yet.

F1H1Bcanada I have send them USPS money order but I didn't take print for it so how I can check they deposit my money order or not....please give me any sugesstion to check it...Thanks

Applied Canada Visa by mail to NY consulate on March 12th and haven't received any update yet.

I got my Money Order in CVS pharmacy. So I got to know that the consulate cashed my MO by calling up MoneyGram. But no idea about USPS money order.Did they give you any receipt?

Bids23 - I sent the consulate an email too after the mandatory 15 days(LA consulate) waiting period passed. It has been 2 days since and they haven't responded yet.

Bids23 - USPS didn't gave me any recipt and I forgot to take print of money oreder. Is there any other way to track the money order deopit or not?

alouisville9629 - Money orders from USPS have a customer receipt portion that needs to be torn from the MO and kept for ourselves. I would say you might want to go back to that same USPS office and ask them about your options.

They have not responded to my email too. Waiting on... I have my H1B interview on 23rd April and leaving for India on 5th March. Don't know what to do....

I have also applied for Canada TRV on Mar 4th In Person in NY and still waiting for the Passport.

Can i withdraw my application now as i have an emergency and i need to go to my home country.

I have couple of questions:

1) What happens if i withdraw my application, will there be any bad remark/impact when i try to reapply for TRV to Canada??

2) Will i have any issues in the future if i withdraw and will it impact me in anyway in the immigration matters when travelling to any other country or Canada in the future.

My mail application package was received by LA consulate on 22nd March. Still no action. My money order is not cashed yet. Its frustrating because we have two pieces of information (15 days vs Minimum 30 days)

And that's why @karthikrun, I don't think you are going to get any reply back from LA consulate till 30 days are passed. I am in same boat too.

Hi US_H1B,

I don't have any personal experience but I don't think any consulate of any country cares even a little bit if an applicant cancels his application for visa. They have bigger things to worry about. That's just my opinion.

Bids23 - Another person in this forum got his TRV approved in 13 working days at NYC consulate. I heard from my agent that the administrative issues at LA consulate have been resolved and they are moving now. We should be getting it soon. I'm also planning to goto stamping around April 21 in Toronto.

Congrats! But I am more worried now as I applied on 11th March....Don't know how long they will take more...
