Status of existing H4 visa after H1B petition denied

Currently, I have a H4 visa (stamped in India) and I'm in India, while my spouse is working in US with H1B.

End of last year, my employer (in India) filed H1B petition for me, and got denied recently (reason to be known).

Given this case:

1. What happens to my existing valid visa (h4)? Is it still valid?

2. I'm planning to quit my job in India and join my spouse. Can I travel with the H4 visa that I have?
