Sri@92 Posted May 17, 2016 Report Share Posted May 17, 2016 Hello, My name is Sri. I entered US on H4 visa in September 2014 and joined a university for masters in September 2015. In October 2015 I applied for change of status from H4 to F1. In march 2016 I got F1 approval from USCIS. But F1 start date on I797 form is from August 8th 2016. That means I will be considered as an F1 student from August 8th 2016. Due to this start date i'm unable to work this summer. Is there any way that I can move my F1 start date from August to May 2016 and do internship this summer ? Please help me with the situation. Thanks Sri Link to comment
