H1B Status - Company Closed

Hello All,

 

Most of you would know about the Ecomnet Company's fradulent activities and due to which the company is now closed. If you haven't heard about this, please go thru this link

Now my question is, 

 

1. does this affect the employees who were sponsored H1B by this company? if so how? will the H1B employees also face illegal action?

2. This company has never given a pay stub so far but has paid correctly. If i have to transfer the H1B to a new company what should I do in order to get the pay stub?

 

Please provide your suggestions.

You should get legal representation as soon as possible before further steps. It would depend on whether you were an unfortunate victim or a willing participant. Get a Lawyer involved.

If the people paid for their H1s, then the H1 may get revoked.

Paying for an H1 is illegal.

What are the options for those who applied for an H1 from this company / similar company this year and couldn't proceed due to the fraud?

 

Will there be any legal issues / complications if they apply from a genuine company next year?

Will any company come forward to file an H1?

We are also in similar situation.  First H1B employer company is closed due to investigation going on .  I am currently working with another employer.  Need help to know what will be impact on us. We are not aware of what wrong first employer did.
