being on 2 H1b and pay roll??? please post

Hello

 

I am resigning from my current university job on May 18, and starting my new university job on May 19. Although I am on a 9 months contract at my current university, they pay over 12 months. That means, I will continue to be on current university pay roll as well when I join the new university on May 19 (and start on their pay roll).

 

Would this be a problem to be on 2 pay roll for a few weeks/months although I am not working for 2 employers at the same time?

 

There is a chance the current employer may cancel my H1b as soon as I leave them and may be just pay off the balance, but I cannot check with them about it yet (I am still waiting for my new job H1b to get approved).
