B-2 Visitor Visa extension - Query

Hi,

 

I filed a paper i-539  a couple of weeks ago for my mom. Her I-94 is expiring in 4 days and we haven't received the receipt yet. Is it okay to wait for the receipt past i-94 expiration or should she leave? I know the paper application was delivered to USCIS by tracking the delivery.

 

Any advice is much appreciated.

If you have proof that USCIS received the application 2 weeks ago then your mother can stay. Usually receipts are received anywhere between 2 to 5 weeks after USCIS received the documents.
