prithi karthik
hi , can anyone please tell me whether I can travel to US when I have a dependent visa (H4 visa) but my husband's is waiting for H1B visa extension approval? Because we heard that for raising dependent visa my husband's H1B should have a validity greater than 6 months. So is the same applicable for travelling to US when I have a dependent visa but my husband's visa has a validity less than 6 months. Thanks, Prithi Link to comment
jairichi
If your spouse is already in US on H1B you can travel with a valid H4 visa and a copy of his I797. Link to comment
pontevecchio
No such rule. If you enter in H4 status now your I94 will be till the current H1 petition expiry. Once you arrive you need to file to extend your H4 status based on his pending extension. Link to comment

parthapratim.mandal
Me and my wife are in US with H1 and H4 visa respectively. Can i join my new company without making and change or extension to H4? I mean can H4 stay in US with older VISA / I94 she has? Link to comment
