Retro effect on H1-B

Experts,

F1-OPT STEM extension is revoked, cap gap for H1 is also gone.

My question is what will happen to people who currently are on H1-B (or any other VISA) but used OPT STEM extension and/or Cap gap in previous years. Is there position also under threat?

The OPT STEM extension is not revoked. Don't listen to rumors.

USCIS has until Feb 2016 to file a response with the court.

Geez, please educate yourself about these things instead of panicking based on some st*pid rumors.

Hi There, thanks for your reply, I understand that they have until Feb 16, 2016 but what happens if the STEM OPT is revoked? Will the people who have used it in the past but now are on different VISA'S such as H1-B will get evicted as well?

STEM OPT will not be revoked. The reasons for which STEM OPT was set up have widespread support in both parties. The decision making will be redone and the same rules promulgated. Let us suppose in a parallel universe STEM OPT is gone. It will not affect people retrospectively.
