Rules for PERM for Spouse

Hello,

 

I have recently applied for PERM with my company, I am hoping to get PERM approval by this year end. I am also getting married by JAN 2016, Can you please let me know if there are any rules/process i needed to do to get my wife included for GC process as well?

Nope. When your PD is current, file 485 for your wife also.

As long as you are married before the PD is current you are fine. She can file AOS at that time.

1. Final application action date to get GC

2. Date to file I-485

 

how is this going to work.

For exp:  I-485 is filed when someone is single but marries later. Will the spouse be able to attach on the application when Final application is submitted? Or will this only work when I-485 is submitted.

To correct Ponte's statement a bit: As long as you are married before your I-485 is approved you are fine.

In the past, if the PD was current, approval came soon after the PD was current. With the change, it can be quite some time between filing the I-485 and approval.
