Rajma
Last week, I arrived at the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, and immigration clearance was as follows. Of the several queues, one was for U.S. and Canadian citizens only. I was in that queue. When it was my turn for immigration clearance I was directed by an (ICE?) officer to a computer. Once I scanned my passport (there’s a scanner attached to the computer for this purpose), the computer pulled up my details –name, flight number, and so on – and the customs-related questions came up, one at a time. I had to use the mouse to respond to each question. The computer also took a photograph of me. Finally, it gave me a printout with my photograph and the responses to my questions. I was given a customs clearance form (the usual one) on the airplane, but it turned out to be unnecessary. This particular computerized procedure is only for U.S. and Canadian citizens, AFAIK. jairichi
Looks like similar to one in Dubai for citizens belonging to GCC. Link to comment
