visitor visa renewal or extension...

Hello everybody,

My parent's 10 years visitors visa is getting expired in the month of September 2015. They are currently in India. I wish to keep them with me for 6 months from August hence I would like to know the following.

1. What is the process to get their visa extended for next 10 more years? Is there a diffeeent process to extend/renew their visa?

2. Should I apply for a new visitors visa all over again?

I tried to search for this information on the internet but found process only to extend the stay not to extend the visa. Please advise what I must do to extend their visa.

You cannot ext visa if you are inside the US, VISA is req only at POE.

It is a new visa. There is no visa extension.

They can enter US in August with the current valid visa. Duration of stay is determined by I94 and not validity of visa.

Once they return they can apply for renewal of visitor visa.

Visas cannot be extended in the USA. If they arrive any time before September, 2015 they will usually get a 6 month I94 which determines their stay. Once they return they will need to get another 10 year visa and they may be able to use the drop box for that. Look at the requirements.
