H4 to L1 transfer

I have L1 blanket VISA stamped from India.

I also have H4 stamped as my husband is in states on H1B.

while stamping H4, my L1 is not cancelled as I was still working for the company.

As I did not have travel opportunities I quit company and joined my husband on H4.

I am currently in the states on H4 status.

here in the states there are couple of positions open for which I'm eligible In the company for which I have L1.

As my L1 is not cancelled, can I apply for COS from H4 to L1?

if yes, please let me know the process.

If the company wants you, you can leave and come back on the blanket visa to take up the job. Obviously necessary company paperwork like job letters etc. will be needed. Talk to HR.

Only employer can file a COS from H4 to L1 provided you fulfill L1 eligibility criteria.

I would suspect that in the event of a blanket L1 the best and only way is to leave and return on the L1 visa which in this case is not cancelled.
