rose12
Hi Sir, Thanks for reading and replying. I was on H1B (not stamped, just in papers), i went to India and since i could not get a stamping (i did not go for stamping), i went for F1 visa directly. Now that i am on F1 in USA, my H1B (which was obtained in Dec 2011) was used only for 2 years - Sep 2014 my H1B expired, but i was told that i can use the H1B receipt and look for jobs and can activate the H1B again (though i am currently on F1) Can you kindly let me know if it can be done please! Thanks once again for your time! - Sheela Link to comment

rose12
Hello All, Its me again! Just a small clarification needed! My employer has applied for my H1B transfer in premium process. Post receiving the case number or the VAC number, he said i can leave my university (F1 Status) and join his office. My questions are, what happens if the transfer is not successful? I cannot go back to my F1 right? Would i have to leave the country immediately? Should i wait till the USCIS approves the transfer? Thanks for your time & advice! Link to comment

You cannot join employer before your H1B petition is approved. That is violation of immigration law. Link to comment
