nv1234
Hi, I'm currently working on H1b as a consultant in a company. I have one layer which is prime vendor in between my employer and my client. I've got my EAD approved. So I want to ask, how can I get directly linked to my client without any issues. One option is my client hires me but if he doesn't then how can I be an employee of my prime vendor? I think my employer and my prime vendor have a no-compete agreement. So if I'll ask my prime vendor to hire me, will he say no? I don't know the rules for EAD. Or no-compete agreement won't be valid? Thanks Link to comment

itsmeusa
You can surely do so provided no non-compete clause that you signed with your employer or your employer with vendor or vendor with client. In such cases, per my experience, if client is willing, then usually employer / middle vendor would let you join middle vendor / client. Link to comment

pontevecchio
In that case subject to any non compete agreements you may have signed and the willingness of the company to release you from any such agreement, you can join the client. Link to comment
