Hi, I am on H4 visa valid till Sept 2015. My husband's H1B and I-94 both are valid till Sept 2015. But my I-94 was valid till Sept 2014 only and it has expired a week ago, and we realized it only yesterday.
We came to US in July 2014 i.e. 2 months back. Please suggest how to proceed. Do I need to go to Canada (or any neighboring country) and re-enter US?

 

Also, will going to the ICE/CBP office and talking to the officer there to get the I-94 extended work? Do I necessarily need to travel?

Why the discrepancy? Till which date in September is the existing I94 valid?

Try going to CBP office at almost all major international airport and get this I-94 corrected. In the worst case, you need to exit / re-enter US to get I-94 renewed.

Since you have valid visa, I think its better to cross the border and get new I94.

You need to exit and enter US with a valid H4 visa and a copy of your spouse's I797.
