Successful Visa Stamping @ Calgary on Sep 3rd

F1 - OPT - H1B, First time H1B Visa Stamping. Visa has been approved on Sep 3 at Calgary. 

First my H1B was approved for 3 years, later after amendment(client change), is was approved for only 1 Year.

 

I gave my DS-160, Passport, I-797.

Questions asked:

1. When and how did you book your visa appointment?
   
2. When was your Photo taken?
   
3. Were you on F1 before?
   
4. What did you Study? What was your Major?
   
5. How long have you been in US?
   
6. Who is your Employer?
   
7. How long have you been working for this employer?
   
8. Asked for old I-797, Why is your new I-797 for shorter period than earlier one?
   
9. Why do you want Visa Stamping Now?
   
10. What do you work as?
    
11. What are your job responsibilities? 
    
12. Do you work for any client?
    
13. Who is your end client?
    

 

and she said Visa was approved and it will take a week to get your passport. Then gave a white sheet for how to track about application status and about Loomis. I am waiting for PP.

 

It was about 5-10 minutes. No other Documents were asked.

Congrats on your stamping. what did you answer for 

1. Why do you want Visa Stamping Now?

I'm planning to go for stamping in Oct.

@sndpk - I did my interview a day before, Visa status shows as ISSUED. I am waiting for my PP. I dont think it takes a week. It depends on each case.

 

@sbetal - I have short vacation, so planned in Calgary, and that I have an occasion in India to attend.

I had my interview on the 2nd, still waiting to get my passport. Did you get any email from loomis or any status change on the CEAC website?

My Interview was on Sep 3rd. I have picked up my passport from Loomis on Sep 4th at 6.45PM. I did not get any email with waybill number, I don't see any update on the https://usvisa-info.comwebsite. The status here https://ceac.state.g...YzCYubaSQI RA== is issued. 

I tried my luck to check at Loomis if my Passport was received from US consulate. They checked it using my Reference ID# which is in the Appointment confirmation email.
