jonbonraki Posted August 26, 2014 Report Share Posted August 26, 2014 i work for a consultancy company. i just got my visa approved and when should i start my green card process. what are basic documents i should have green card intiation process.? what should i ask for my employer to do, what file application he should fill in ? what is perm? i need the answers for above questions and valuable information i should be aware of ? please advise and share you experience if your already walking the path. omshiv Posted August 26, 2014 Report Share Posted August 26, 2014 Firstly let your employer be ready to file for your GC...you cannot force your employer to do so...thats illegal and may put you in trouble. I know your employer is desi and he will need you to pay all the fees for your GC and might have also received money from you for H1 fees. Link to comment

GC is not your right. It's employer wish whether he wants to file GC for you or not. Looking at your post its clear that you are eager to get your GC ASAP, remember paying GC processing fee is ILLEGAL and that leads to deportation. Link to comment

You should try and move on to a FT position in a couple of years and then see what transpires. Link to comment
