mrafiq44
Hello, I would appreciate it if someone with experience in the process can help me with the following questions: 1. Do I need to hire an attorney or can a citizenship process be successfully completed by oneself? 2. I have married an American citizen and have no kids of our own at present, I am eligible for citizenship application based on 3 yr eligibility. besides bank statements, leases, what other docs should I provide? 3. Do I have to highlight the joint transactions or just provide the docs? Thank you. Link to comment
JoeF
Most people file the naturalization application on their own. If there is something unusual in the background, e.g., some arrest, it is better to consult a lawyer. Bank statements, leases, marriage certificate, etc. are usually enough for naturalization based on marriage. Link to comment
pontevecchio
1.Astraightforward process for which one does not need a Lawyer in almost all cases. Just take the trouble to read the N400 Instructions and later on provide only documents which they ask for. Link to comment
