immigrantquestion
Hello, I have a question on behalf of a friend. She has moved here from Brazil and has now been living in America for almost 10 years now on a visa overstay from when she was a child. She applied for and received DACA (deferred action for childhood arrivals) 1.5 years ago, and is now in the process of renewing it. The question is... that she would like to visit her family in Brazil, and I believe this is allowed as long as she applies for advance parole. However, my worry is that if she visits Brazil specifically, there may be issues with leaving Brazil to come back to America after her visit. Would the Brazilian government not allow her to leave due to her previous visa overstay? I appreciate very much in advance for any help that can be provided! :) Link to comment
pontevecchio
Since her visa overstay was in the USA the Brazilian Government is not involved. As a matter of abundant caution she should enquire about the possibilities at the Embassy of Brazil. Link to comment
rahul412
I heard that DACA is for the persons who doesn't have family members back at their home country. Link to comment
