sariv
My mother is coming to US from India on May 20th 2011. I am US citizen and I want to apply for her greencard, which is three months after, on Aug 20th 2011. Her 10 year visitor Visa expires on Oct 15th 2011. Will she be able to stay here even after her visitor visa expires, until her green card process is completed. Thanks. Link to comment
pontevecchio
Does she realize that this means being permanently resident here? Link to comment
t75
You have stated on a public forum that your mother intends to enter on a visitors visa with IMMIGRATION INTENT. Apply for consular processing as what you have announced you plan to do is against immigration laws. Do you want her first act in the US to be to commit immigration fraud? Link to comment

A Permanent Resident has to live in the US. Does she understand that? Link to comment
