H4 stamping in India

Hi,

I was in USA for last 6 years.
I am planning to applying for H4 dependent visa by filing DS160 form since my wife has a valid H1b.She has her I797 and I129 forms.I will be going alone for stamping in India
While going for H4 stamping at US consulate in India , do i need to carry my wifes I-129 original form or should i need to ask my wifes employeer to apply I-129 for me also and then only i should go for stamping.
This is the first time ,i am going for H4 stamping in india.
Please advice.

I-129 is not applicable to a person in H4. You need her H1 petition approval and proof of Marriage along with proof of her valid H1 status to apply for the H4 visa.

A copy of her documents is more than enough. Mostly VO would ask you only a copy of her I797 and might be your marriage certificate.
