rahul412
They won't cancel your B1/B2. Link to comment
mj129
I believe your b1/b2 would still remain valid. But you would have to enter the US with either that or your h1b. Link to comment
JoeF
First off, where do you get the idea from that "visa rejection is high"? Visas are rejected if there are problems with the job, e.g., employer-employee relationship. If the job is legitimate, visa rejection is not high. Don't listen to rumors from people who try to get an H1 for some shady consulting company. Second, an existing visa should not be touched, but sometimes they do cancel an existing visa with the mark "canceled without prejudice", which means nothing is wrong with it, it just likely won't be used if there is another visa. pontevecchio
Nothing called cancelling B1 part of a B1/B2 visa. Either cancelled or not cancelled. Link to comment
jairichi
Nothing called cancelling B1 part of a B1/B2 visa. Either cancelled or not cancelled. In my case they canceled my B1/B2 visa and gave me a new B2 visa with the original validity date. Link to comment
pontevecchio
That's strange. It is a B1/B2 and then based on the purpose of the visit. Link to comment
jairichi
That's strange. It is a B1/B2 and then based on the purpose of the visit. I argued with them and they said they cannot do anything. This happened at US consulate, Chennai on 23rd April 2013. Link to comment
chakrakr
In house project?? There is no need to get paranoid just because you worked for a fake employer . Link to comment
