Entry into US in L2 visa in Jun 2009 Started working on L2 EAD from Nov 2010 Transferred from L2 to H1 in Mar 2011 Travelled to India in Jun 2012 for 3 weeks’ vacation – got H1 stamped in India Transferred from H1 to H4 in Aug 2013 (Maternity) Transferred from H4 to H1 (Invoked the same H1) Now, the question is how long her H1 is valid – May 2015 (from the day entered into US) or Oct 2016 (from the day she started working in US) or Feb 2017 (from the day she started working on H1) Please help ... Her max allowed of 6 years on H1B starts from the time your wife started working on H1B . And, these 6 years do not include time spent on L2 and H4 status. Link to comment
