skn239
Hi All, My previous employer is not providing W2 for the last year, although I contacted him many times. How can I obtain a copy of W2(at least) so that I can file my taxes, and also is there any impact if my previous employer creates an issue with W2. Please advise. Link to comment
JoeF
Go to the IRS website. They have a form where you can report that you didn't get a W2. They will then contact the employer. Link to comment

catx
Every employer, without exception, is required by federal law to report employee's earnings and provide employees with a W-2 in a timely manner. Failure to do so by an employer is a violation of federal tax law, and a serious issue for the employer. There is a process to follow when an employer does not provide a W-2. Check the IRS web site for the instructions. (A quick Internet search returned "Missing Your W-2? Here’s What to Do" as the first result. Google, bing, etc. are useful.) Link to comment
pontevecchio
By now he is legally bound to provide the W2. Give the IRS a call and ask about complaint procedures. They will make him comply. Link to comment
