vikramts
Since the US is now recognizing same-sex immigration sponsorship, can someone tell me if cases are seeing traction and this is actually working right now? I completed 6 years on H1B and unfortunately could not get my greencard application filed during this time. I had to return to India and leave behind my boyfriend (an American citizen). Is it possible for him to sponsor me at this time? Should we be legally married for this? Any information would help. Thank you. Link to comment
pontevecchio
Discuss your situation with the firm of Murthy or any of your choice. Link to comment
JoeF
It is possible, and people have been doing same-sex family-based sponsorship. For details, you probably have to consult with a good lawyer. Link to comment
Jozeybee
Your partner can apply for your GC either based on a Fiance visa or marriage based petition (obviously you two would have to be married for the latter option) It's best to consult an attorney to prepare an application Link to comment
