rb0306
Hello All, My mother recently came to USA ON visitor visa. She got ankle surgery in India because of that she was unable to walk properly. We consulted a doctor in Florida and went for Surgery. Doctors recommended her to stay here for 9 months because of after surgery procedures, physios..etc. They will remove the metal struts after 9 months. We paid all the surgery costs out of pocket and everything is cleared. Can we apply for Visa extension for this reason? or is this a problem because she came here on Visiting visa and went for Surgery? What supporting documents would better help this situation? We are planning to get a letter from doctor, what we need to cover in that letter? Your help is requested on this, that means so much to us. Thank you all in advance for your expert views on this.
