Mother travelling on visiting Visa B2

Hi Friends,

 

My mother is travelling on B2 VisitingVisa along with my wife and kid(who are travelling on H4 Visa).

 

During Visiting Visa Interview we have mentioned the duration of stay as 2 months and i have booked Tickets Round Trip with duration of 176 days(less than 6 months).Would it be fine?

 

Any questions are expected at port of entry?

inspite of length of stay period in DS 160 as 2 months,So can my mother say that length of stay as below 5.6 months(176 days) at POE,we have booked the return tickets as well.

 

Does she need to carry any invitation letter etc?

All she has to say is she is visiting her son. The POE Officer will do the rest. When she comes home look at the Passport and also look up the electronic I94. In almost all likelihood she would have got 6 months.

Even if she says 176 days the length of stay given is at the discretion of immigration officer at POE
