Change Employer during OPT

Hello,

 

I am currently employed by company A on OPT and they will be filing for my H1 visa in April. I would like to understand what happens if I change my employer to company B who also files for my H1 in April. If my H1 for Company A gets approved and my H1 for Company B does not get approved, can I continue working on OPT for Company B before and after October 1st? My OPT expired in December 2014.

On October,1 you will be in H1 status if the petition from A with COS is approved. Till then you can work for any company suitable to your DSO,

Approval terminates OPT. Int he scenario you propose, you need to work for A beginning Oct 1 or have arranged to have a new petition based on the approval.
