I am a Canadian citizen and will be working in Canada for a year , if i travel on B1 will that affect my one year requirement for a l1a and EB1 visa processing times? . In other words will my number of days of stay in usa during the year ( on Business and personal visit ) be added to my one year A legal opinion would really be appreciated Link to comment

venu29 Posted August 13, 2015 Report Share Posted August 13, 2015 FOr anyone wanting an L1 , they need to work outside usa on the company's rolls for one year right?, i am asking if during this year if i were to travel to usa on personal or business reasons, will it add to my one year? venu29 Posted August 14, 2015 Report Share Posted August 14, 2015 1) I am a Canadian citizen (originally born in India) but currently working in USA on a TN visa as a management consultant 2) I am now getting transferred for a year to Canada with in the same company 3) I will be working in a managerial role 4) I would be planning to go back on L1 visa after 12 months ( on the same company rolls moving from Canadian payroll to USA pay roll) and then apply for a Green card My question during this 12 month period , if i have to travel to USA on business Visa or for personal reasons-(my son is studying in usa), would this duration i spend in usa during this 12 month period gets added to my 12 month requirement for L1 ?
