EB1B when can you change employer.

I have my I140 approved in the EB1B (outstanding, petition filed by employer) category. The I485 was filed concurrently and has been pending for 4.5 months and I have received the EAD/AP card. When can I change employers to take up a job that is similar to my present one? Reading about related discussions on different forums suggests that for the EB1B category, one need to wait for 6-12 months after obtaining the green card. Is this authentic information?
