balimusi
Hello There, My brother works for Carnival Cruise Line. This year is the third time since he joined the cruise ship. He has a C1/D (Crewman visa) that is valid for 5 years. Once his third contract is ended, he plans to return to Indonesia and apply for F1 visa. Is there any issue/restriction for applying an F1 visa while his C1/D still valid for another 2 years? I appreciate any answer you can provide – thank you! Link to comment
pontevecchio
There should be no bar on applying for and getting a F1 visa based on securing admission to a college. Link to comment
t75
No. However they may cancel his C/D visa at the interview Link to comment
balimusi
Thank you, pontevecchio and t75. @t75, you said, "However they may cancel his C/D visa at the interview," do you mean the C/D visa may get canceled when his F1 is denied? Link to comment
