txresident
My Visa Status is given below: Status of Visa & i-94: L-2 Visa Expiry: Dec-19-2013 L-2 i94 Date: Dec-19-2013 EAD Initial Approval: Dec-2012 (Not Employed till Date) EAD Expiry: Dec-19-2013 My spouse's Visa Status: L-1 Visa Expiry: Dec-19-2013 L-1 i94 Date: May-05-2015 I had applied for L-2 Extension on Oct-9-2013 and concurrently applied for EAD Extension on Nov-5-2013. While the status on L-2 Extn is still in "Initial Review", I see that the status on my EAD Extn showing "Card in Production". Just curious to know if this is possible without L-2 getting approved? If yes, what would be the Validity date based on? At this time, I have been offered a job and have to join before Mid-Jan-2014. If my L-2 Extension may take longer than my joining date(Employment), can i still legally work with only EAD Extension approval? Thanks in Advance, TX Resident Link to comment

Thanks in Advance, TX Resident It is possible as EAD is issued based on your spouse's I94 expiry date. But, I believe you would need your L2 extension approval before you can start to work. Wait for other members opinion. Link to comment
pontevecchio
Why are visa and I94 expiry the same? Card production means you should get the EAD soon. Take a printout and send a copy to the employer. Link to comment
