second master f1 visa reject can apply H4

I have completed my MS-comp sc and OPT ,Then back home country apply for second master in Software engg

Visa got rejected now i cannot go USA, Shall i apply for H4 as my wife is in H1b.

Software engineering is a subset of Computer Science not a different degree

There generally is no "software engineering" Masters degree. SWEng is generally a specialization in a Computer Science degree.

Care to tell us which university this is? My guess would be one of the rather shady ones.

Sorry about that. What was the reason for rejection? And which consulate did you attend?

Please be clear with all the details. I saw here most people come up with either false or nearly false references/figures or whatever. Please be clear so that someone can really help you. Just be honest and nothing else, you are not going to loose anything.

Did you use drop box or interview waiver facility in Hyderabad or any city back in India?

Vo gave me 214b and told me he is unable to understand why i want to do  second master degree.

I have spend 5 yrs in US with OPT... But can reapply later.

Kolkata consulate i went. Pace University i did MS comp sc then work 29 months on OPT.

VO's question was spot on. Looks like you could not justify or convince VO about the need for a second degree. Your only option is H4.

oh man! you got everything what you wanted. Well, VO's concerns are genuine. You could have applied for PhD, that makes sense. And also you can go for H4 as well. But........ Let me know how you think if you are in VO's place???

That's clear. What's the reason for second master's??

You are eligible for H4, so forget F1 and go for H4

Well, when you fill in your D160 for H4 visa you will mention that your F1 was rejected. But, it should not be a problem.
