Holding H1B and Canadian Work Permit

Hi,

 

I am currently working/living in the US on a H1B. My wife was not selected in the H1B lottery last year and her employer has offered to transfer her to their Canada office. Last week her canadian work permit was approved and as a result I received my Open work permit as well. As it stands this is our current immigration status in both countries

 

Me: USA - H1B, Canada - Open Work permit

Spouse: USA - H4, Canada - Work permit

 

My work involves a lot of travel (usually within the US) and I intend to visit my wife on weekends. Or may be she can visit me some times. I just wanted to check to see if this was possible with our current visa/permits. 

 

Any insight or input will be greatly appreciated.
