Spouse's last name confusion in marriage certificate and passport

Hi All,

 

My wife's last name on our marriage certificate shows as mine but her passport retains her original last name.

 

Now, recently, she went for stamping and got her H4 visa. We are planning to for stamping again in the next 6 months. Will her last name be an issue for stamping?

 

If yes,

 

1). Can we get a new marriage certificate in India or change the existing certificate to hold her original last name?

2). If number one is not possible, should we change her passport, educational certificate etc… to hold her original last name?

 

Please advice.

Why do you need stamping again in 6 months?
