H4 stamping after H1B stamping (still in India)

Hi,

My H1B visa was stamped in October'2013. I am going to travel to USA in December'2013.

I want to send my wife and daughter for H4 stamping before I travel to USA.

My concern is that I do not have SSN or W2 or US tax docs as this is the first time I entering USA. Some other forums gave me an impression that these documents are required for H4 stamping.

 

Can I send my dependents for H4 stamping and if so what documents required?

Please advice.

The only factor is the credibility of your H1 sponsor. Obviously you will not have documents like SSN or wage slips unless you start working. Since your H1 visa was stamped theirs will also be stamped.
