sreeb Posted October 31, 2013 Report Posted October 31, 2013 Hi, I am Sree.I am currently on H4 visa, I have a job offer for a contract position, so my future employer wants to revoke my existing H1 ( I have used only 3yrs of it the first around and converted to H4 status, when the H1 was up for extension) - since my existing H1 is already in the quota. My husband's employer is filing for his greencard now ( adding me on the application too), he has a full time job with a reputed firm in a senior position. So, now if my employer files for revoking my H1 would it affect my husband's green card application, which is still in the initial steps of paperwork?? Your advise is much appreciated. Thank You Sree.
sreeb Posted November 1, 2013 Author Report Posted November 1, 2013 Hi, This is Sree again.I said revoke when I wanted to say renew in my post above. So my future employer actually wants to renew my existing H1. I am sorry for the inconvenience. pontevecchio Posted November 1, 2013 Report Posted November 1, 2013 Your employers actions have no bearing on your spouses application. How do you intend to work in H4 status?
pontevecchio Posted November 1, 2013 Report Posted November 1, 2013 There is no problem. The 2 do not affect each other.
