Travel with valid AP, H1B expired, new H1B in processing

My H1B is expired and new H1B is in processing. I have a valid EAD/AP combo card. Looking at processing times, it seems to be taking quite a while for H1B approval nowadays.

1. Would I be travel to India with AP (H1B in processing with receipt notice)?

2. If yes, will this be considered as using EAD (EAD/AP combo card is used)?

3. What documents should I show at POE?

1. You would travel to India based on your Indian Passport. You can return wit AP and use EAD to continue work.
