Is J-1 waiver required while applying for H-1, or only while stamping the new H-1 visa? If you look at some posts in this forum people have obtained H1B visa when their J1 waiver is under process.

jassi1239 Posted October 30, 2013 Report Posted October 30, 2013 If you were subjected to HRR. To file your H1, your employer needs J1 waiver approval letter or atleat a letter from DOS or USCIS stating your application is under review.
